Plastic grass paving grids are innovative building materials commonly used for paving parking spaces in courtyards, community scenic spots, and golf courses. These grids are a modern alternative to traditional square bricks and other materials, offering lightweight, high durability, and long service life.
Many residential areas are connected to green belts on both sides of the road. The lawns are generally laid to the roadside. The soil of many green spaces is seriously compacted due to neglect of management. The emergence of grass paving grids just solves this problem. In addition, grass paving grids are also widely used in fire passages and parking lots. It solves the problem of increasing green space and improves the ecological environment and safety. The following is a brief introduction to the construction precautions of plastic grass paving grids.
- The gravel foundation requires compaction. The compaction degree considers the large bearing pressure. The surface requires flatness, and a drainage slope of 1%-2% is preferred. Pebbles or gravel and sand must be filled in the seepage holes of the concrete foundation to prevent soil loss.
- Each grass paving grid has a link buckle, which is linked together during paving. After the grass paving grid is paved, use a small roller or a flat vibrator to press the surface of the grass paving grid back and forth once. Any uneven places need to be trimmed until the surface of the grass paving grid reaches a level.
- It is recommended to use nutrient soil to fill the grass paving grid. When backfilling the soil, it should be combined with watering to allow the soil to settle. Use a bamboo broom to evenly sweep the nutrient soil on the surface of the grass paving grid into the holes of the grass paving grid. The height of the soil layer is based on 5-10mm below the plane of the grass paving grid.
- Manila grass is generally used for turf, which is resistant to trampling and easy to grow. When laying turf, a gap of about 20mm should be left, and the turf should be staggered in a herringbone shape. After the turf is laid, water it thoroughly to make it soft, and then use a small roller or flat vibrator to press the grass roots into the grass planting grid (repeatedly) to make it easier for the grass roots to grow downward.
- After one month of maintenance, stop the car for use; if the grass is constructed between November and March of the following year (dormant period), it should be maintained for two months before stopping.
- During use or after the rainy season, if a small amount of planting soil is lost, some soil or sand can be evenly sprinkled on the surface of the lawn to fill the soil lost due to rain erosion.
- The lawn needs to be mowed 4-6 times a year, weeds should be removed in time, and fertilizers should be applied. In hot and dry seasons, it should be watered frequently or equipped with automatic sprinkler equipment to do necessary maintenance and management work.
